Hello there!

This page shows you the types of colour combinations.

More details about each colour scheme.

Monochromatic Colours

Monochromatic colours is like shades of one single colour. Since they are all varying shades of one type of colour, there isn't really a focus point and so it's quite relaxing and is good for backgrounds.

Dual Complementary Colours (Tetradic)

Complementary colours is very similar to Monochromatic colours. All you have to do is choose two different colours, and create the shades, tints and tones of these two colours.

Triadic Colours

The idea of this combination is to take three colours from the colour palette with the colours evenly spaced out. Idealy, this creates a harmonious, rich and balanced style that no other combination offers. Many artists opt for this combination.

Split Complementary Colours

They are the colours that are across each other on the colour palette. So for example, blue & orange, red & green, yellow & purple etc.

Analogous Palette Colours

This palette uses harmonising colours. The colours are eiher all from the warm spectrum or the cool spectrum.
